Digital or Traditional?

I'm torn...
I love my traditional art, and I'm not bad at it... I mean, I have YEARS of practice, but everybody seems to prefer digital these days.
I have a tablet (Bamboo for those curious), and I have Photoshop Elements, and I know the ins and outs of both, but it takes me so long to produce anything of decent quality. I still have troubles getting my lines to do what I want... the only way I know how to make a smooth line is to scribble a couple times and then go back over it with the eraser tool... that alone takes up HUGE amounts of my time and discourages me from even finishing a piece. Then there's the topic of colouring... I don't know how to colour digitally! Things just don't blend the same way in Photoshop... either that or I just have no idea how I'm supposed to do it. I'm getting the hang of layers (I've found them really helpful for my lineart) but I don't know how I'm supposed to apply layers to colouring... not successfully.
So, do I keep trying digital until, years from now I'm okay at it, or should I stick to traditional being my main focus... will I get the same response/liking if I don't do digital?

I posted 2 pictures yesterday :

Colouring Practice Total Views: 111; Favorites: 8
Coloured Pencil Tutorial Total Views: 134; Favorites: 8
O.O The response has been... phenomenal? I don;t know how else to say it. I really didn't think that my colouring was anything special (I used free lineart from S-Nova on dA)... much less that anybody would like a tutorial from someone who probably doesn't know very much at all about colouring. I guess if my colouring is that decent, I should do more of it... I'm not very secure/reliable with my lineart yet, so I've been thinking of doing some collaborations. I've approached a friend, and a couple people I watch on dA and asked if they'd be interested in collaborating... I've gotten good response yet again! I can't wait to see what I'm going to be working on, as I've given everyone free range on the lineart they give me. (I could use the challenge anyways, I think). I'll keep you posted as I complete each piece, and I'd like to hear some critiques if possible... I don't really get critiques on dA and FA.
Also, I've watched for years... and now she has +watched my art galleries! I'm so happy! Thanks Synnabar!

So,
I've decided to get a Live Journal... Why, might you ask? I'm just not sure I want to post a bunch of personal stuff on a site that I am 'advertising' my art. That, and it keeps any drama in one place and on the down low (not that I expect much, if any, drama... my life is pretty non-dramatic). I figure, if people want to know what goes on in my day to day life, they'll click the link and add me to their watch list.
I haven't much to say for tonight, but I will see you all around!
